Specialized S-Sizing Explained
Tuesday 1 December 2020 Filed in: General
Alongside the launch of the new Stumpjumper and Stumpjumper Evo models, we have developed an all-new way of thinking about bike sizes. We call it S-Sizing. S-Sizing is a unique approach to frame design that allows riders to choose their bike based on desired handling characteristics rather than standover height.
S-Sizing is based on what matters; rider size and style, not inseam. Six sizes, all with similar headtube lengths and standover allow you to choose the size that best suits your individual style. Smaller S-Size numbers are going to be more nimble, thanks to their shorter reach and front-centre measurement, while bigger S-Sizes deliver more stability and a roomier ride.
